music at night

is gentle, relaxing music at night a good idea or do greys need total silence to get a good nights sleep?

I am not sure if music would bother them. I can't imagine it would, but mine sleep with silence.

my daughter sleeps with her radio on and I'm sure the birds can hear it because I can and I'm at the oppisite end of the house. It doesn't seem to bother them one way or the other. If it does they haven't said anything anyway:laugh:

As long as the volume wasnt to high, i dont see a problem but mine seem to settle better with the silence.

Nicky refuses to settle down to sleep unless I sing to him for fifteen minutes after turning the light out in his room little monkey just wants to stay up and play.

Oh Nicky has you wrapped around his little talen! Sense our birds live in the living room and are put to bed before everyone else goes to bed I don't think that the music will bother them one way or another. We just put them in thier cages and cover them up. They tend to play a bit but then settle down all on thier own.

Thats what I do too Suzanne, Josey and Sunny's cages are in the family room and we are still up with the TV on for another hour and you don't hear a peep out of either of them, they either go to sleep or just sit quietly and I cover them up with a black sheet.
