Dinner Time Query?

Hi All,

 

 

I have a question for some of you experts. My CAG Indy is nearly 6months old and at 7pm she has her dinner which consists of fresh fruit and veg. After dinner put her back into her cage so she can play with her toys but she starts eating her pellets (kaytee rainbow)which she has access to all day. I only put her back when she stops eating her veg and never before. Is this normal or am i not feeding her enough?

No you are doing fine, she just wanted some pellets and they are good for her so let her eat all she wants of them. If she stops eating the fruits and veggies then she has had enough and just wants something else, maybe its like her dessert for the evening:lol:

Thanks for the reply. She is out at the moment munching on some cauliflour. She's having a good go at it too I think she's a bit of a foodie like me

It's quite normal for greys to fill up their crop before they settle down to sleep in the evening,they sleep with a full crop nothing to worry about.
