TheGreyMiester
I do not have a Grey yet but was wondering how often do you need to give it a shower? I found a baby that is not weaned yet and I'm going to take a look at it today.:woohoo:

Guest
TheGreyMiester, I think introducing your bird every day to its bath is safe to say it's regular Don't ever force him though. Also, if possible let him have his baths in the early afternoon so the feathers get enough time to dry up before retreating to sleep (which with wet feathers don't seem to be very healthy)
TheGreyMiester
Thanks very much for the advice. I saw my baby Timneh this past Sunday and it was very nice! It was very tame, it kept beaking my wedding ring and trying to climb up to my shoulder. The nails were razor sharp also! I will be able to bring it home in May, and my breeder is going to start calling it by the name I have chosen. We are going to call it Oliver and Ollie for short. The Tumbnail image under my name is the actual photo of the baby I bought.

Guest
TheGreyMiester will you tell us your experiences when you get your bird? (like....... did it kiss you back? ...... ) Just joking But I'm truly curious to know especially the first day at home
kyparamedic
I've found that my grey is very easy to bathe, but hates getting sprayed! Even after I bathe her and she's still wet, when I go to spray her with the Pluck No More she gets mad.

CityDweller
I have a seven month old CAG named Cloe. For the last month she has been taking showers at least once a week. If I do not get her in the shower half of her water in her bowl ends up on the floor (drinking bowl becomes bird bath). When I first brought her home I sat her next to the sink to let her get used to the running water (she is spooked easily). Now she enjoys shower time. In fact once she hears running water she starts jumping around thinking it is bath time. But you will find out each bird is different, some love water ..... some like it in small amounts. Guest
Citydweller, that's sooooo cool  I've never heard of birds having their bath in the actual shower for humans  She really look like a character (positively meant). Welcome to this forum. I would love to see more of you and experiences of Cloe
