I think its just about time to clip a few flight feathers. Fergie is thing she can do what ever she wants she flies up onto my Kitchen cabnets and chews the natural wood trim that is everywhere in my house. The when I get up there to get her she fly's to yhe other side of the kitchen finally I tell her no in a very firm voice and say go back to your house and she goes until I sit down to relax again and then off she fly's again to get into something else she's not suppose too. birds they are like having baby's around always getting into trouble so tomorrow she going to the vet I would clip her myself but I have noone to help me so I ts the Vets office she could probubly use a check up anyway. I don't really think there is anything wrong with her though she very active and gets a ton of excersize flying all over my house, but like the say an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. And right now getting her wings clipped is going to prevent me getting anymore headaches from chasing her around the house. lol

Oh boy Pat, she has learned how to push your buttons and she is using it to her best advantage. Clipping her wings will put a halt to that but don't let them clip too many. Thanks Pat for sharing that with us, I thought only Terri had the character grey.

Elmo gets the same way. When a few flights grow out she gets real cocky and is an absolute monster!!! Right now she has 1 feather on one wing and 2 on the other that have just grown out but she hasn't realized they are their yet. As soon as she does we're going in for a clip.

Well I didn't get a chance to take Fergie to the vet today but I had todo something or she would have all the wood in my house chewed up so so grabbed her real quick when she came over for a snuggle and I managed to get 4 flight feathers clipped on one wing before she got out of my grip I had on her she's not to happy she still managed to make it bake to her cage but in a down hill flight yeah no more chasing her every where. Idon't mind her flying I jst don't want her up at the trim around my ceilings if I can find a happy medium where she can still fly in a straight line but not gain any height that would be great any sujestions on how many flights I should have trimmed so that is possible??
