prrthead
I have been looking at some stainless steel fruit or veggie skewers and wondering if it would be a good way to offer Echo more veggies. Has anyone used them and how did they work if you do? Does anyone have any feed back on this? thanks, mary
lovemyGreys
Yep they are a great way to offer either fruit or veggies or a combination of both I highly recommend getting one.I just cut chunks of fruit or veg & hang it up,i remove them after about an hour as i dont like to leave them hanging around for too long. Mel
I'm going to try this with some wooden ones I have lying around and see if that will encourage interest with the variety of food. :cheer:

Tycos_mom
I have one and my birds just love it to them its a toy but its gotgoo tasting things to eat on it I would be careful usting anythig sharp the ones for pets screwint the top so they don't have any sharp end that could peirce their tongues or thier beak they aren't very expensive I think I paid eight dollars for mine at the bird food store. prrthead
I love that skewer too, Mark. The ones I saw just had a apple on the top. It has a screw on bottom so there are no sharp points or anything. Well I'm convinced:) Thanks guys for sharing and the info. Mary
dblhelix
Yeah, the one in the pic has no sharp parts. The bottom end is blunt and threaded so the bell piece unscrews. Since its blunt it does not push through items you "skewer" quite as cleanly as if it were pointed, but I have not had any problems getting anything I want on there!
