pmaholm
I was wondering what everyones Greys like best for their treats, we've been giving Refund just about every fruit and veggie we can think of to get a feel for what he likes. So far the only treats that are the most desirable are KayTee Mango Yogurt Dips, and almost any type of cheese. Thoughts anyone?
judygram
You can use anything that they love to eat, just observe what your bird loves the best and use that for treats when training and yes mine loves cheese too, she goes nuts when she sees the package come out of the fridge but you can't give them too much for they are lactose intolerant. pmaholm
We had also thought about lactose free cheese but it's pretty expensive. -Patrick
casper
Both of mine go mad when they see the bag of pine nuts! These are a great treat while training.
Lyric
Lyric likes the peas in the pod, and cheese (goes nuts for it) and toast with a little peanut butter on it. He'd do anything for toast with butter on it but doesn't get this often- not as often as he'd like anyway!
Trustdace
I train Congo with sunflower seeds and fresh papaya chunks.
judygram
Yep, you find their weakness and use it to your best advantage:lol:
pmaholm
I bought a very small amount of pine nuts since they're so expensive. $12.99 a pound the only place I was able to find them . We're still in the experimentation stage. We tried spaghetti last night and of course he was afraid of it . he did however like zucchini. Darn bird is eating better than me  -Patrick

pmaholm
I'm not sure, we've found it at couple of supermarkets it just says "Lactose Free Cheese" or something to that effect.
Janfromboone
Great Topic! Tobie likes cheeze too, I'll try lactose free. Do you suppose there is salt in it? Tobie isn't crazy about sunflower seeds or nuts, but I'll look for pine nuts.
