In theory yes, what are you offering Oscar from your hand ? ideally you should feed him in the morning, thats when mine have a fresh fruit & dried fruit mix, then let him have access to his pellets/seeds through out the day to munch on.Then perhaps for evening/dinner some veggies, pasta etc..Im sure Oscar will then fill up once more before he settles for the night, greys tend to fill their crops before settling down.

If your bird is eating healthy foods and getting plenty of exercise (flying and climbing around in his cage/gym) then it's not really possible to overfeed him. However, if all he does is sit and eat, then you need to monitor his weight to be sure that he's not just packing on the fat! :) (a good digital postal scale - in grams - will do the trick)

Any pet bird can become fat, they develop weight problems for the same reason people do — too many calories and too little exercise, One way to control your pet bird’s weight is through regular exercise, playing out of the cage & allowing some flight in your home. The more active your bird is, the more calories he’s going to burn and the better shape he’s going to be in.
