What do you use?

I wasn't too sure where to post this.

 

I've been reading books on Grey and how to care for them and the majority of them list what cleaning products (practically all of them)are considered unsafe for your birds.

I like a clean house and shiney bathtub, so I was wondering what does everyone use to keep their home clean, yet safe for their birds?

 

I have read that a mix of vinegar and water is quite popular, but is it safe for laminate flooring? Will it make my bathtub shiney?

 

Any suggestions/tips would be appriciated B)

I use all my usual stuff (Lysol, Fantastik, etc) - I just make sure not to get too close to Klaus. When dusting the living room (which is where he is) I spray the Pledge into the rag instead of onto the surface I'm dusting. This cuts down on it getting airborn.

I don't bleach very often but if I find I need to, I move Klaus' cage as far away as possible, clean quickly, and ventilate like crazy. I use a Swiffer on my floor - I believe you can use that on laminate if I'm not mistaken.

I personally worry about the fumes and after effects. I use only environmentally friendly cleaners because of my birds. B)
