Looking for a Gray

My name is Cori and I am desperately looking for a Gray of my own. I recently was scammed by a guy who claimed he had parrits for sale but i figured it out in time to get my money back from the moneygram company. I have wanted one of these birds for years now. I would love to start with a young bird. If anyone knows who might have one for sale or where i can possibly get one without spending my life savings it would be appreciated.

Hi,

I am in Mass, and am looking for a great home for my 12 yr. old african grey Poco. My wife and I bought him when we got married, and he is great. He says unbelievable amounts of words, and makes many different sounds. He uses no foul language, has no health issues, and has no screaming problems.

The problem we have is time. We were not told by the pet store what kind of time needed to be spent with him. Now we have children, and he is definetly being neglected. We have discussed this many times, and have realized that this would be best for him.

Do you have any experience with African Grey's? Do you have children? Where in Mass are you located?

We wouldn't want any money, we just want him to live a wonderful life with someone who can spend quality time with him.

Please let me know, and we can arrange a meeting to see if you would be match for Poco, and Poco for you.

Thanks,

Dave

That would be EXCELLENT. I live in Marlboro with my Fiancie and my 6 month old. I am a stay at home mom so I would deffinately have more then enough time to spend with Poco. I am pretty much available to come meet with you at anytime. Weekends are of course the best because my Fiancie would be able to come with me. Where are you located? If you would like to chat over the phone send me an email at F150chika@yahoo.com and we can go from there. Hope to hear from you soon.

Ohhh, this is so nice. What a wonderful coincidence. Two people (and foremost the bird) - are 'helped' - in one strike B)

Lovely. I hope it all works out for you guys and please tell us here about it later on

Be patient, and be sure to apply with several bird rescue organizations. I just adopted one from a rescue in Ohio. I had to drive all day (vehicle broke down on the Ohio turnpike on my way there), but after 14 hours on the road, Poppy was home safe and sound. And what a joy! He is 10 years old and you can practically have conversations with him. Amazing!

Anyway, while you're waiting, take some time to read as much as you can about these wonderful birds. Knowledge is power!

Good luck, and keep us posted!
