hueysmom
Hi My house is being tented on 2/22 for fumigation using Vikane, which the makers of Vikane say is safe for birds. They say that as soon as it's safe for me to enter my home, it is also safe for my birds. I am a bit nervous by the response they gave me, and with my knowing how fragile birds lungs are. Does anyone out there know when it is safe to bring my birds back home? I would appreciate anyones thoughts on this! Thank you!
Guest
It's made up of sulfuryl fluoride and that gas tends to evaporate rather swiftly from the air. It's being used a real lot and also in homes with birds. I personally don't think you have to doubt your exterminator company. But maybe it's good to get some more responses and advice.
