Tycos_mom
If you remember a couple of weeks ago I rehomed my Cocatoo because I couldn't breath because of the amount of dust. The people I gave him to said that its not working out that their B&G Macaw and Mr. Magoo are always competeing for dominance what ever that means. Anyway I think that it just that Vivians husband is upset because Mr. Magoo will only go to Vivian and not him he bites him everytime she didn't say that in so many words but she did say MrMagoo hates everyone except her. I will not be rehomeing Magoo again this time he will be here foever Its only been 2 weeks so it will be like he was just on a little vacation. I phoned my ex husband and he going to come over and install a huge air cleaning system on to my furnace. I will have o make sure I give magoo lots of baths to keep the dust down to a minimum I also asked my ex if he would close in the sundeck with some kind of non toxic wire mesh so The birds can go outside in the nice weather. I have 2 large cages on my sundeck so they can go out in the meatime but it would be a lot nicer if they had a nice big place where they could fly. I'm so happy he's coming home I've missed him terribly I've wanted to call them up so many times and say I want my bird back but couldn't so this is a answer to my prayers

Tycos_mom
I'm sure it will be allot better with the new electro static filter on the furnace and a air cleaner I will have to stop cuddleing him and stick to only head scriches Got to keep him away from my nose somewhat so I'm not breathing in he dust. Summers coming so he can spend allot of time outside andthen mabie that will give my immune system time to adjust to the ammount of extra feather dust. Its got to work because I refuse to rehome him again I will not play boomarang with my bird.
judygram
Pat I am so glad Mr Magoo is coming home, it was just not meant for him to be accepted in their home, he belongs with you in his own home. Things have a way of working out for the best and the air filter system will enable you to keep him and you not suffer for it. You must have a nice ex husband to do these things for you as most want to wash their hands of anything to do with their ex wives. I can't wait to see some pics of the homecoming, I bet you and him will be grinning from ear to ear with joy.B)

Tycos_mom
I agree and as for my ex we were together for 26 years we didn't break up because of a bad marrage. We broke up because I didn't feel like a wife to him any more more like sister and brother its kinda hard to explain we are still close but just not as man and wife. we do have four kids together and we are a very close knit family so we make the best of things for our kids even though we only have one left at home. If I need anything done around the house that I can't do he's always there for me. We aren't divoriced we just been separated for a few years. I have no intentions of remarrying and neither does he so there really is no need to divorce him I know it sounds strange but it works for us. judygram
Thats nice you two have that close relationship and get along good for the kids, that is rare in this world today and if it works for you then so much the better. I didn't mean for you to have to explain about your ex, its really none of our business, but was just curious that he does things for you and you seem to get along with him. Its a shame that more couples could get along better when they separate, so many are at each other's throats and the kids are the ones that suffer for it. Lyric
I hope the air filters and extra baths help- I know it must have been hard to make the decision to re-home him. Now he'll be so happy to be back in his own flock and you can enjoy his company again. Congratulations to you both!
Tycos_mom
He will be here tonight around 7:00 I haven't seen him for 2 weeks I wonder if he going to be mad at me. I hope not. but I'm sure he'll forgive me we had the most wonderful relationship before he left I guess thats what I miss the most. I trully love the little brat and who knows mabie he's been acting up because he misses me. Vivian said he's been picking fights with their Macaw but when He lived with me I never had a problem with him and my other birds even my little birds he got along with many tims I found him sittin on their playstand with them they would squwak at him but he would just look at them and never touch them. She said he's been postering and flying down onto their Macaws back and biting him and they are worried that Ernie their Macaw will get angry and kill Magoo. Magoo has always been so gentle with my animals and birds I think mabie its because thier house is so small and Magoo feels to closed in at my house he live in a room that is 25 ft long and 16ft wide so their is lot of room for every one at their house the room he and Ernie are in is about mabie 10X10 thats the living room the house itself is only about 6or7 hundred sq feet where as my house is 1500 sq feet and it has a open concept so it seems even bigger. I know if I had to live there I'd get clostraphobia so I can just inagine how two large birds feel in such a small space. Cockatoos will even kill their mate if their cage isn't large enough to accomadate both birds and I think Magoo is feeling closed in and thats what his problem is.
