Help! What do I do with a broken tail feather?

He/she has broken one of his pretty red tail feathers in half. It's hanging on still. Do I just clip off the end bit that is hanging on? I have no clue what to do!

He'll probably pull it himself when it starts to irritate him, but if it makes you feel better you could clip it where it is broken. As long as it's not bleeding it's nothing to worry too much about!

She will probubly clip it herself when she is preening but if its bothering you you can clip it at the break. as long as its not bleeding its fine.

yes as the others have advised, just leave it to fall out or she will pull it herself, the only time to worry really is if it bleeds .
