I would like to greet you all, as i just joined, and although i do not have a bird yet, i am about to get one! I am still on the first steps though, and for now i am still researching the breeders and the basics of these wonderful creatures. If anyone can help me with who is the best breeder and how to choose a bird, if it matters if its a male or a female, etc; i am most welcome your opinions!

I am in my early 30-s and this will be my first big bird after a few budgies in my past. Live in London, and would be happy to meet up eventually with likeminded people from the area, and of course their birds...

Hello Kinga and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and this new bird you plan on getting.

 

I hope this means you have decided on a grey but whatever species you select make sure it is what you want and you are doing the right thing to research all you can before you make that plunge.

 

If you have had budgies then you at least have some bird experience but a grey is entirely different but can be a very rewarding experience if you know firsthand before you go into it what to expect.

 

Please read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do not hesitate to ask questions you may have and we will do our best to find you some answers and help you in any way we can.
