A couple of years ago I acquired a female Yellow Naped Amazon that had an awful problem with shredding paper at the bottom of her cage - almost instantly after it was put on the bottom of the cage in the tray. Even with a grill separating the bird from the bottom of the cage it was able to scratcy it`s way to the bottom and grab the paper. I tolerated it for a few months but after getting tired of it I decided to buy a California cage (brand name). The bottom of the cage was now about four inches from the grill at the bottom and the bird could no longer reach the papers on the tray. Besides this, they are extremely easy to clean and the bird loved the space as well. I would recommend one of them to anyone.

I have the Cozumel Island Cage w/playtop for my CAG and just adore it. Its so quick and easy to clean and no paint has chipped off it at all. The size is perfect! I also have the Catalina model for my Severe Macaw in seashell white...DON`T ORDER THE WHITE!! It has chipped terrible. She gets paint on her beak just moving about in it. The mountain granite coat is tough as nails, however.

my cags cage measures 24wX18dX46h(interior ht) She is only caged to sleep and when I have to go somewhere without her and nobody else is home, which is rare. She seems to like her small cage, like security at night when she is alone. but......the cage is a few years old and beginning to show signs of wear, like dented bars from me banging it all over when I drag it outside to clean. I would like a SS cage, but they are all so huge! Does anyone know where I can find a SS cage that isn`t big enough for me to fit in? Would be greatly appreciated. tika

then I assumed that he was being a typical grey and being silly about new stuff, so I left him in it. After 2 weeks, I wanted to put him back into his old smaller cage to take him to the vet but he threw a tantrum and refused to go in it.He decided he like his big cage after all. Birds huh, they`re like kids.
