He as been living with me for over 7 years. And he is around 25 to 27 years old.

I noticed he was mumbling a couple weeks ago. You know how they do when they practice.

Well Saturday he was mumbling and he said Pretty Bird.

And my niece claims she heard him say Hello yesterday.

Now how cool is that after all these years.

Wow that is awesome . I am so excited for you ......I know you are sooooo proud of him .You should be , isn't this unusual ? I guess we should never give up . My Alexandrine talked before Sammy came to live with us and she stopped , now she only talks to him . I hear her when I am in the other room . Oh well , she will talk to a man and not her Mommie . UM . What does that tell ya ? Congrats , so excited for you ....Wow , good news.....

I don't think it is normal. But it could be he knew how to talk at some point in his life and stopped.

Also the last few weeks I have started playing music more for the birds and all of them are noisier now and this may of started him talking.

Well I guess that proves they are never too old to learn or start talking, how exciting for you after all this time to have him saying hello and pretty bird and soon who knows what Joey will come out with, way to go Tari.:P:)
