poodlenparrot
I'm sure you guys don't remember since I wasn't very active when I initially joined, however I decided to come back and since there have been some major changes, I'll go ahead and post in this section again. Last October I rescued a five year old CAG. She was a plucker and had over a year of very little human interaction and a poor diet prior to coming to me. Her plucking was a roller coaster, but she improved quite a bit. Unfortunately, she died some time during the night of March 9, 2008 as a result of choking on a piece she chewed off of one of her toys. Prior to her death I had been considering adopting a Quaker Parrot who was badly in need of a new home. I decided to go ahead and go through with it and brought Sprite home in late March. He is eleven months old and quite a little character. Another CAG in need of a new home has been brought to my attention recently and I have decided to adopt him also. He should be joining the family this weekend. In addition to my feathered friends I also have a Standard Poodle named Savannah. Well, there you have it. I look forward to participating in the forum and getting to know you all. Hope everyone has a great weekend, Melissa

judygram
Welcome back Melissa and I am so sorry to hear of Piper's death by choking but sometimes things are just not meant to be. Sometimes when one door closes another one opens and now you have the opportunity to adopt another grey and are bringing it home this weekend. When you get the chance fill us in on the details of this grey and maybe share a picture with us if you can.
poodlenparrot
Thanks everyone. I am hoping to get him home today and afterwards I will definitely share pictures with you all. For now I can tell you that his name is Caesar and he's around 2 years old although I won't know his exact hatch date until I see his papers.
