Yogi's tail feathers are a dark red, and there is not a lot of red like I see in many of the pictures of baby CAG's. They are more a mix of dark gray and dark red. His beak is totally black which should mean he is a CAG and not a TAG. (Personally it doesn't matter to me what he is, I love him anyway!) I was told that his feathers will probably change to more red when he molts. I've looked at lots of pics of tail feathers and I do see that there is some variety out there. Some babies are vibrant red when very young, some more muted. Any ideas?

Wow, what beautiful birds! Yogi is all gray except for the tail thing, his eyes are just starting to lighten a little bit. As soon as I can I'll have to post a pic of the tail and see what you all think.

Young CAG's have dark grey tips on their tail feathers. He will molt out his baby tail feathers & these will be replaced by the brighter red ones you see.If the beak is black then he is a CAG. Definitely looks CAG in your avatar.
