Knight05 Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 My newest and best picture of chloe titled "The Noble parrot" taken on my room mates shoulder during a walk on a trail through some park. She was having a blast and looking sexy so my room mates girlfriend snapped this photo of her -enjoy-!
judygram Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 Very nice Spence and it is a good pic of Chloe too, thanks for sharing it with us.
lovemyGreys Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 nice photo Spence, do you not harness Chloe ? what if she was to get startled ?
HeatherStrella Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 Very nice photo...you're right, Chloe looks noble.
Lyric Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 That is a great picture Spence, she really looks pretty sitting there on his shoulder. I do worry about you having Chloe outside without a harness- you know sometimes even if the wings are clipped they can get enough lift to get away from you? I'd hate for you to go through any ordeal if she should get scared and fly away...Just concerns from a girl that worries too much... Back to topic, I do love the photo!
Knight05 Posted May 3, 2008 Author Posted May 3, 2008 Chloe doesn't do harnesses she hates them and they freak her out. I've only had her lose her balance one time on my shoulder arm or any other body part. She hovers very well for a clipped bird and when she's on a surface she could potentially get hurt on I cup my hand around her body for extra balance and support so she never worries about falling. And when in the house she flies off her living room perch at least 10 times a day and does a belly flop onto the couch and lands perfectly. I know there breastbone thing is weak but my couch is super puffy micro fiber so she is fine.
judygram Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 You really do need to be more careful of having her outside without any kind of harness on her, even with the wings clipped she could possible fly away if she was suddenly startled, just watching out for your precious baby.
Tycos_mom Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 I can't put a harness on my birds either With Fergie who is very tame and devoted to me I tie a shoe lace around her leg I now its not the best but I'd rather her have her on some kind of restraint than have her gone from my life for ever she has never flown off my shoulder when we have been out together and ever when a cor horn or ambulance goes by she has never left my shoulder. mabie she knows with that shoe lace there it wouun't do her any good to try I don't know but thats how we go out together. Guest Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 I like that photo! She looks indeed as if she is flirting (coquetting)
