BTW do you have any idea how loud macaws are? and so very very messy. That is why I could never own one. Why is it every guy wants one? lol Is it somehow a more manly bird? lol My husband loves the hyacinth out where I work and I am the only person that can touch that bird even the owner is afraid of her (only cause she has not spent any time with it) but it still scares me to death. That beak can really hurt someone.
judygram Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 I like the hyacinth macaws but they are not for me, a little too big, I am more into those that are no bigger than the greys, like a galah, now thats a bird I could deal with.

I think kirk looks at the green wing where our baby is with more love than he looks at me.:laugh: i am scared of them. Im not good at dealing with pain. i couldnt keep my calm if a macaw locked down on me. But if its what he wants...:woohoo:
siobha9 Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 I am not scared of the size of the bird... I am scared of the size of their beak! I have never seen a Hyacinth (apart from pictures) but they are bigger than a B&G and I am afraid of a B&Gs beak
