Guest
Hello, I have had Bailey for a month now. I had gotten some baby food, vegies, fruits etc, to see how he liked them. When I first tried to feed him some on a spoon, he grabbed the spoon and did that head bobbing thing, like I have seen with baby birds on TV. I am guessing this is how he was feed as a baby. He is weaned onto pellets and eats almost everything I give him. Well, those red grapes must not be as good as the green, cause he will toss those out. So my question is, we now have a ritual, that in the morning I just hold the baby food jar and he makes this little begging noise (so cute) and eats the baby food out of the jar, still doing the head bobbing thing. Is this ok to encourage? Should I stop it or will he just stop in time? I appreciate any advice anyone has. Donna
judygram
I don't see a problem with it, I feed Josey her morning oatmeal with baby food but with a spoon and she kind of does the head bobbing thing to get the stuff off the spoon and she is going on 2 years old next month.B)
lovemyGreys
I'm with Judy, i don't feel it's a problem my 2 boys still love a warm spoon feed of baby food in the evening, i love that bond i have with them & they seem to enjoy it, another bonus of being able to give your grey a spoon feed is if the need ever arises & you have to give medication you can administer it in with a spoon feed
