:blush: I kinda hesitate to ask this but does anyone know how big the Timnehs get? Do you know of a size reference? I know they are smaller than the congos but i dont know how much smaller...thanks!:blush:

The average weight is 275-350 grams. They are significantly smaller than a cag. A cag is more like 350-500 I believe. The others will correct me if I am wrong on the cag, I have a timneh, and she weighs 310.<br><br>Post edited by: Talon, at: 2008/04/04 00:52

I think you are about right Penny but maybe a little smaller like 300-400 for Tags and 350-500 for Cags but then that is my opinion.

Actually according to this site, and my TAG it is-

 

Timneh grey (about 275-350) grams

 

Congo grey (roughly 500-600 grams)

Finnigan is 272 and very healthy. Although, keep in mind, they do differ in size. It seems Talon might be a bigun. They are just a bit bigger than a conure, stockier if that makes sense.

Wow! ok. That sounds like a decent size. I was thinking that they were bigger than that. It'll be ok though. Their personality sounds a bit better than the congo. I like birds that act like clowns.:woohoo:

I have a Congo African Grey and she is the most playful sillyest bird i have and I have 2 Conure's also But Tyco takes the prize when it comes to doing silly things. she is definatly the clown of the family Pat

smithie007 i have 3 CAG's & 1 TAG & Kaiti the TAG is just as bit funny as my other three,talks.sings.. everything the CAG's do,she is a little darling.

Caiques are only around 9-11 inches smaller than a TAG, lovely little birds full of character, can be noisy

Mine is absolutely noisey! He yaps when he eats, when he plays, in his sleep..... there is no end to the chatter! thanks for that information. It really helps me get a good grasp on what size she is going to be.
