Very Unfamiliar with this

Hi Everyone,

I am totally new at this, I have never chatted on line before, but here I am to introduce myself. I inherited two Greys about 2 years ago when my brother passed away, their names are Nicholas and Chaz, they are both 7 yrs old, they came from the same parents but are approx. 8 months apart in age. I almost lost Chaz the end of January, he crashed on me and required a week of hospitalization, two days on oxygen, the conclusion was he had a bacterial infection which was treated with antibiotics, he is on the mend but still not quite right, 2 weeks ago we had his bloodwork redone and the Dr. assures me everything looks good but I still constantly worry about him. Well ok I have babbled on enough, just wanted to say HI.

Hello Pep and welcome to the family, so glad you decided to join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and these two greys.

How wonderful you inherited two greys but sad about the circumstances by which you came to get them, sorry about the passing of your brother but now you get to carry on with his pals.

Have you had birds before or is these two your first? You really had a scare with almost losing one of them but I would imagine it is taking some time for him to completely get over it. Your vet assures you he is getting better and he should know so try not to worry too much about it.

Take some time and read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do ask questions if you have any. We will do our best to get some answers for you and help you in any way we can.

If you have some pictures of Nicholas and Chaz you would like to share with us we would love to see them.:)

Pep1 welcome here :) I hope you will like it here.

First of all, I am so sorry to hear your brother passed away. My condolences.

Great that Chaz could be saved and is making progress and getting better. That's really good to hear. I can imagine though that you stay worried. However, trust the vet - he knows best ;)
