cuttlebone??

Bit of a debate, but should you feed your grey cuttlebone?? I've heard that things such as cuttlebone and oyster shells are harmful to greys in the long run like they are for humans. Also, do they need a supplement to grind and digest their food for them?? some say they do, others say they dont, i've known owners to never give their grey this supplement, others reguarly give their greys cuttlebone.

Bit confused here, ive done research on it, but im getting a 50/50 response, nothing certain.

What do you do for your grey??

ah yes that what i do for my grey a couple times a week, i put it in her water :) Ive heard some horror stories of greys dying of not being able to digest the cuttlebone!! has scared me a little  so ive avoided it altogether and given her a different kind of calcium supplement.

Ah thanking you, definately helped, I've been having to vastly change her diet to give her as many different things as possible, the little one really doesnt like veg, and would rather steal a chip though she knows she's not allowed :pinch: and she will not eat anything with her daily vitamins sprinkled on top, talk about a fussy eater!!! though funnily enough she'll gulp anything with calcivet on it, its quite sweet tasting lol, she's a junk food addict methinks, have to watch her veeery closely.
