I would suggest you try to find a local bird rescue where you can place Traveller. They are usually very dedicated people who are willing to work with your bird on his behavioral problems and help find him a loving home with people who are experienced with working through these kinds of issues. You're right to be leery of just giving him away and to let people know up front about his needs but honestly, a rescue is where you want to go. They have people who deal with these kinds of situations every day!

 

I'm not sure where you're located but there are several really good rescues on the USA west coast I could point you to if that is close to you.
