Where can I find a Quaker Parrot?!

I want to say Mississippi but that may not be right. I'm sure she will be on here soon. She e-mailed me not that long ago and I can't get to that message again!

I had SweetHeart shipped and that wasn't such a good thing but I truly think that was a fluke, but still was a bad thing!

I am going to have our Goffin shipped soon though from another breeder.

Yep I am in Mississippi and it is the wrong time of the year to ship. Never done that either mostly cause it adds about 100.00 to the cost of the bird.

Did you call any of those breeders? They might also have birds still tame left over from last summer.

I didn't call any of them yet. I know my job gets quakers in in a couple of months but we never get blue ones in =. It really doesn't matter if it's blue or not but with my job they don't DNA sex test them and they don't give any paperwork at all with them. I kind of want to go through someone who has a passion for birds..not just a store having a passion for money. What time of year do you ship, spring? How much is your quaker? If you don't have anyone local interested maybe I could send you a deposit through paypal to reserve him/her if you would be interested in shipping the bird and if it would not be too stressful on the bird.

I was going to say I know you can ship through Delta which you probably have used and I think it's $125 to ship. That's how I got sweetheart and getting our new baby goffin in april. I hope the two of you can make a deal lol. I love seeing new little homes for sweet little birds!! Sorry I will keep my two cents out now lol

Angie aka Tari, seems to be a very good breeder and takes care of her little ones! She has many posts on here about her little blue babies lol. There is actually a pic of the baby she has for sale if she didn't already tell you. It's under blue baby pics I think. He/she is very cute!

Sent you a private message about cost and stuff also sent you a list of all the things s/he says.

I did forget to mention this bird has one toe that did not turn back. But it in no way slows him down or causes any problems.

He is a very sweet bird and very tame.

I do not DNA cause I wanted to sell him as a pet not a breeder.

Most breeders around here only DNA babies if they plan to keep one or two for breeding. One breeder pair is more then enough for me. lol

My Blues are raised in my home and not mass produced. (only raised four last year) So they start talking early and are tame when they leave my house.

I think we can ship in April if we don't have a cold snap.

Here is a picture. You can see the bad toe it is on his right foot. He should have two forward and two back. But he has 3 forward and one back.

He is left footed so does not slow him down any. He can perch, climb, and hold food just like any other parrot. It may need an extra trim from time to time but he is pretty good about letting me do it.
