Ronda477 Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... Author unknown... I thought for the ones who didn't know or just an easy place to come and find it when needed that this should be here somewhere on the forum. I hope all of you don't mind, but for someone who has encountered a loss of any kind I think should read this with the hopes that it will put their mind at a ease just a little. And for all those that are reading this for that reason, my thoughts and my heart truly go out to you!
judygram Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 Thank you Ronda for posting this for us, maybe admin will make it a sticky so it will remain at the top of the pet memorial room to be easily found by whoever needs to read it, you are a sweetheart:kiss: More karma coming your way....
birdgranna Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 I have actually posted that before. It is lovely.
lovemyGreys Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 Thats great Ronda, i have posted this link on another thread a while back http://rainbowsbridge.com/
judygram Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 I'm sorry Birdgranna if I missed your previous post on the Rainbow Bridge but since the Pet Memorial room is new and Ronda posted it in the room I thought it was appropriate to have it where those that need it can find it easily, did not mean to step on any toes or yours either, Tracy. This site has a lot of threads and posts and items get lost easily and I forget easily too, that comes with age.
Ronda477 Posted February 23, 2008 Author Posted February 23, 2008 Oops sorry I did look up first rainbow bridge in the search window for the forum and nothing came up. I am sorry girls I didn't mean to step on any toes. And even if I didn't still sorry.
lovemyGreys Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 dont be sorry you havent done anything :side:
Ronda477 Posted February 24, 2008 Author Posted February 24, 2008 Ok, was just making sure, I don't want anyone to be upset cause they already posted it, I truly didn't see it. The thought came to mind because soo many have seemed to lost their little ones lately. But thank ya Tracy!
judygram Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 And since yours is posted in the Pet Memorial room I thought it would be nice to have it as a sticky so people coming to that room to share a loss with us would see it first off, it is a good read for those in mourning.
madeline s Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 This poem is one of my favorites! What a beautiful way to remember a pet! Highly suggest pet cremation jewelry too - they have a ton of bird styles and is just a very personal way to honor your pet. http://www.jewelrykeepsakes.com/
