Great pictures steph!

I would suggest not bringing Goober outside without a harness or cage, because if he got scared he could fly away. I know you may think that would never happen, but just ask our members. Some have had to learn that the hard way. It also looks chilly outside, I don't want Goober to get cold!

Steph, with all due respect, bringing him outside, is a catastrophe waiting to happen. Many members have felt the way you do about clipping and a false sense of security. Ask them, they have experienced a fright of a lifetime, some never having their greys lost forever. :(

Please do your research, and for HIS safety, put a harness on him! You are much too trusting, even with the dogs.

Also, seeing as it was only in the low 40's today where you live, that is much too cold for a grey. Anything below 60 outside where there is a breeze is too cold. They can get sick from cold drafts. We are just concerned for all greys here. We love them all like they were our own. Please don't take it as an attack. We just care, and are offering helpful advice. :)

Post edited by: Talon, at: 2008/02/12 01:38

That's what other members have thought:

Want more? I don't want to have to see a post by you one day saying that Goober flew off. I'd make us all feel better if you just put a harness on him.

Steph im sorry you feel that way :( It was constructive advice which was given out of concern for the safety of your grey, it was not meant to offend you nor was it a personal attack on you, this is not what we are about on this forum. We are here collectively to offer advice to our members.

Steph, the members in this forum love greys and the feedback you have been given is out of concern for your baby. Please don't take it the wrong way. You do seem to be taking some unnecessary risks with your bird, and it would be so sad to see Goober have an accident.

Please be careful.

Ah Steph :) The members here speak out of concern for you and your bird. Why do you take it the wrong way? Just think that something might happen to your bird - isn't it better to prevent than to be sorry? ;)
