Shaun777
My grey is now 18 weeks old, I hand reared her from 5 weeks. I take her from the cage to the inside perch every day, she also jumps onto my lap and places her head on my chest, were i stroke her head, she make a strange chirping noise. I suppose that is her way of saying that she feels secure and happy. She also sits on my shoulder and nibbles my ear softly. Are most Grey's at this age soo tame. The only problem is that she bites the kids and my wife sometimes, but she never bites me
Bailey
I would have to say yes if they are hand reared and hand tamed from very young.. I have a baby tiel who is like that and I think the noises are the same noise baby birds make to the parents to feed them. In your grey's case your its daddy. That is very cute! judygram
Yes most are Shaun, and you seem to have a cuddler too, you are the favorite and that is why she only nibbles you and bites the others, that is normal too.
danmcq
Yes, most hand raised and well socialized Parrots are very cuddly and dependent on their human companions at that early age. Some will continue to be cuddle muffins and some will still enjoy it occasionally, but not all the time. They start making their own calls as they age, much like a human child. :-)
