Hi Just wondering what are palm oil treats and what is its uses? and do i give to my grey? where do i get them in the supermarket or avian doctor??

i prefare to give my birds the nuts, not the oil, as the oil is concentrated i just dont know how much to give to them??

whereas the nut they eat with pleasure, they turn their nose up at the oil

Brooke with the palm oil it is in general no more than a teaspoon a day, you can slightly warm it & i find they enjoy it drizzled over their veg

If you're going to give palm oil, be sure it is Red palm oil for more nutrition, not regular palm oil. 1/4 to 1/2 tsp a day is what is recommended for the average Grey (to 500 grams). While good fats are needed in the diet (red palm oil, flax seed), too much is not good for them.
