Ronda477
Just wondering how many people feed their AG's sprouts? My breeder said Sweetheart loved them so I started doing them and she does absolutely love them! Just wanted to know how common they were among them. Thanks! lovemyGreys
Hi Ronda do you mean Brussels sprouts ? i personally have never tried them , no human in my house likes them ! Brussels Sprouts Nutrition Info, Brussels Sprouts contain good amounts of vitamin A, vitamin C, folic acid and dietary fiber. They are also a good source of folacin and potassium. One serving (1/2 cup cooked) contains approximately 32 calories. It is best to steam or briefly boil Brussels sprouts in order to preserve both the folate and the vitamin C. here is a link on sprouting seeds if it was this kind of sprout ??!! http://www.greyforums.net/forums/bird-food/28994-do-you-sprout-.html#29237

lovemyGreys
 dont know what made me think of brussels :pinch: Did you know that sprouted seeds are rich in vitamins, minerals, enzymes & antioxidants. Many people believe that sprouted seeds are one of the most nutrional foods you can give your grey. Sprouted seeds are at their maximum nutrional value at the very beginning of the sprouting process. They may be kept in a fridge for a few days where they generally continue to sprout, i keep mine in a little clear bag
