zeta
HEY grey friends, Hope everyone's New Years was awesome! Brody is home for good now, he is still on 1 feeding, and I'm the who is going to wean him. I have a few questions. So, he gets baby food at 6 P.M. and I weigh him every morning. He weighs 150 grames. Sometimes he wants the food and sometimes he will take only one 12 CC. He eats all his dry and cooked foods. How will I know he is starting to wean? Also, Brody, and all the other Grey's do this wired twitch. My boss told me its a Grey thing, but I just want to know if its normel? Thanks! nevjoe
Here is a post I made a short time ago. Please read it, it works. Are you sure about the weight of the bird. The baby food is MORE IMPORTANT THEN ANY OTHER FOOD RIGHT NOW. HOW OLD IS THE BIRD. He should weight much more then that. My bird weighted 410cc before started to wean him. chapala
I'm not a hand-feeder, but have read that the bird will begin to refuse the last feeding. At that point, when he no longer wants the formula, he is weaned. Just continue to introduce lots of chopped fresh vegetables (raw), a little fruit, a soaked grain mix and soaked and cooked legumes. Thay way, he will be a great little eater! Reta
