Davidsmama
I am a new mama to a africa grey and a cockatail and we live in the mountains of NC, the tempature here can get really cold but we leave our furnace on 60 degrees at night, do you think the birds need heat lamps also. chapala
No, I don't think they need a heat lamp - I think they don't do as well treated as hot house orchids. They have "down vests" and they will be fine at 60 degrees. Two of our parrots are outdoors on a covered terrace. The lows right now are around 50. They are protected from wind, and do just fine. It is pleasant during the day, mid 70's. Reta
judygram
They will be just fine at that temperature. Why don't you introduce yourself in the welcome room and tell us a little about yourself and this grey you have.
loviechick
Its been in the 40's here in Oregon, and they've only been in about 60 degree heat and they're all alive and well!
