danmcq
ARrrrggghhh.....it seems to be a Parrot stealing nightmare picking up. It almost makes me wonder if that story of the shop in NY that was broken into a few months back didn't give thieves a NEW hot high priced object to steal and re-sell. I hope they did get a BIG BITE from the Breeder with an attitude

Post edited by: danmcq, at: 2007/11/30 13:

judygram
The holiday season is a big time for any kind of thieves but yes bird thieves also and those are some of the worst kind, I hope those birds do take a chunk out of the culprits, would serve them right. {Emotions-00020077}
KatB
Do you think it sounds like the thieves know at least a little about birds? Any idiot would know they need food, but these guys also stole toys and treats. I agree they should be strung up for doing this, and I'm happy to think the breeder bird took his revenge out of somebody's flesh, but I'm also slightly relieved to think the thieves know how to (and want to) keep the birds healthy and happy. Christina
Good post and a timely reminder BMustee! I do hope the breeder took a nice chunck out of the bad guys! Serves 'em right.
Dave007
Shame, shame, shame About 6 mts ago in NY, There is a very well known pet shop in Manhattan that was robbed of about $30,000 worth of parrots. All species of parrots. It made TV and newspapers. Supposedly, different actors also shop there and have purchased very expensive birds and cages and accessories. dumfatnhappy
at our local pet store they had a cockatoo (umbrella I think) stolen right under their noses...seems they had a young pair that were very friendly to say the least and someone put one under their coat and just walked out of the store! It was during the holidays last year.
