JackPira2
Hello, I don't know if this is the right place to post this question, I am sorry if it isn't. Thing is I am about to buy myself my first african grey, but the person who is selling it sent me a video of the parrot and it looks a bit different than what I've normally seen. https://youtube.com/shorts/_GgbSYXXiYA Can someone more experienced tell me if this looks healthy? I don't want to buy before making sure everything is alright. The client said it is more rare and wants to charge me more for it. But I don't know what to believe.
Greytness
Hello! It looks like red factor mutation, which is a feather color mutation. The coloring isn't linked to health issues in babies, but can indicate dietary issues when adult grays suddenly start growing out red feathers. Such cute little babies. LOVE their sweet baby sounds! Talon
They are really adorable. Red factor is rare, but itcan grow out & they will be the same color as a grey, They don't usually keep the red factor, so its not worth paying more for. They look healthy!
