My Mom traveled from Northern NM to deliver some Sterling Ranch beef that my Dad raises. After pulling several ice chests and unloading into the deep freeze there was a dunlap bag still sitting there. Mom says "that's for GreycieMae".

That is great! My two are almond addicts, but I've never tried them on walnuts in the shell. That might peak some interest.

I purchase walnuts and other nuts in shells and crack open the larger ones for the greys and let them get them out. On the smaller ones, I let them do the job on their own.

I agree. With walnuts I have to crack them open and then I give half a nut to Dorian for him to dig the meat of the nut out of the shell. It's a favourite treat around here to hear that walnut shell crack open.

There is nothing quite like a visit from Mom. Those walnuts from home are better than gold. Your mama loves all of you I am packing for another trip from Georgia to Houston to love on my grandson before he gets too big to permit such things. Parrots and dogs are being prepped for travel on Friday!
