Insert video icon not coding correctly.

The video icon doesn't make a direct link to videos (on YouTube at least) anymore.

 

This is how it's coding now & it doesn't work

The easiest solution it to copy and paste the link.

It's not about needing a workaround. It's about notifying the techies that since I last used it a couple of weeks ago either someone re-wrote the code badly or someone bad re-wrote the code.

I understand that, but in the interim I made suggestion as our tech dept is out of the country and it takes time to get things fixed...we are 1 of many sites they own...and one of their smaller ones...sometimes we have to wait our turn

Hi. I've been trying to insert a video into a thread I started. I tried from a video taken on my iPad, and my android phone, but neither is working. Is this the same problem as above, or am I doing something wrong?

Just saw this. Haven't tried inserting any vids for a while, so I just did

Thank you Val, by going into your first post, copy and pasting into my browser, this is the first video I have been able to watch in months. It must have caught me at a vulnerable time because the beauty of these little creatures is so captivating it made my heart swell right up and brought me to tears. I know my issue is because I use an older version of Internet Explorer. I never upgraded my laptop to Windows 10, so I am running old software. That makes me smile... old is six months past its prime. Good thing that isn't human aging or I would be dust.

Re "dust"... Yep, all of us fossils. lol

 

Personally, I don't play well w/IE. There are versions of Google Chrome & Firefox browsers that work w/most platforms, thankfully. Might be worth checking out?
