I use the shower head...came with the house <harr harr>.

Seriously though, I can't get her nice and 'showered' as good as she can on her own in a pan of ice water. When I try to bathe her, she won't open up her feathers so she gets a good soaking. When she does it herself, it's spa day and she comes out looking like a drowned rat.

I saw your video of her in a casserole dish with ice water! I actually was wondering if cold water is the preferred norm or is that unusual?

It's a Grey thing. Most of them prefer ice in their bath water. Not sure about other species inclinations. Our Jardines and less so our Caique will use ice baths but probably only because they've observed the Queeny enjoying hers, and she won't share which means they have to have it too.

Dorian prefers water straight out of the fridge, no ice cubes. It does seem to be a grey thing to prefer cold water. It's not universal, the odd bird here prefers tepid water, but most like it cold.

Interesting. Even in the Winter? Do either of yours bathe in the kitchen sink? That seems like it would be the easiest and possibly least messy...then again, it is just water:)

Greycie will get down in the kitchen sink if I put ice and water in it. Which reminds me, my Caique prefers the tap water trickling in the bathroom sink. He's not a fan of ice water. Rio our Jardines prefers a good garden hose soaking...go figure.

I got the mister from the Amazon link and it came in today! I order it less than 2 days ago. I am super impressed. I used it today with the Aloe Vera, bottled water and ICE CUBES...

Bathing went a lot smoother than normal and my little guy seems to prefer the icy water.

Charlie's dad, it must have been your thread I saw the Amazon link in. Sterling, thank you for posting that video. Your flock definitely seems to enjoy their baths
