Steve 2
Hello all. I am experimenting with birdie bread (actually I'm bribing my wife). I want to incorporate those veggies which Toulouse does not realize are so good for him. Looking for suggestions for items to make the bread more palatable and nutritious. Thanks all. Greywings
We have a section with many recipies and ideas but I will share a few helpful suggestions. I make my birdy bread with coconut juice (unsweetened) finely chop or blend veggies he doesn't like. Add some almonds or almond meal, pecans, cashews, walnuts Garbonzo beans, sprouted grains, organic apple sauce or pumpkin pulp or mashed sweet potatoes. For added nutrition use rainbow kale, golden or red beets, most enjoy some mango or papaya you can add the papaya seeds. I also add Ginger, Tumeric, safflowers (dried)and some cornmeal or arrowroot flour eggs no shells here some coconut oil or red palm oil, mix all together pour into a shallow pan lined with parchment paper and bake at 400 degrees until knife pushed into the mixture comes out clean. They enjoy red pepper flakes, jalepenos corn, peas, green beans, squash what ever you want to use that is a safe food.
