I just got my my African Grey at the beginning of this week. It is now 6 weeks old, and I have a lot of questions and concerns. I'll chuck them into the relevant forums.

As I understood from another post you didnt have a choice to keep at the breeder till fully weaned.

Well, thing is, the demand is high, but breeders few. The breeder I bought from is the bad type. They wouldn't give two dung piles about her. So I'm going to try my best. Luckily I work from home, save for a meeting now and again. So if she isn't on my desk on her blanket, she is in her cage, two feet away from me.

Welcome to the forum. Six weeks is pretty young. How is the hand feeding going? I know there are lots of people here who can help if you have questions. Have you had parrots before? You are in for an amazing adventure! I can't imagine my life without my grey. They are the absolute best! Good luck and keep us posted. Pictures are very much appreciated, too.

omg that baby is soooooo tiny ... god bless you for taking this small sweetness in and caring for it. I wish you much luck. I am so thankful that I was able to find an amazing store that did this portion of the raising for me.

You have such a young baby but you have done the best thing to come here and ask questions, we have many knowledgeable members who can answer questions but none of us are avian vets so be sure to check on one in your area in case you need their services and do read thru the many threads in the nursery room as it will be of great help to you in the coming days and weeks.
