I would definatly take that poop in and have it checked and take that bird off anything that you can make oil with such as sunflower peanuts safflower corn Ive seen that kind of poop before with an amazon I use to have that had a liver problem he's fine and still liveing and healthy but his liver condition was due to Obesity from the person who had him before me. I put him on Aloe detox which has milk thistle in it and took him off all fatty food and his liver healed itself Your baby is young though so it could be something else I would get that bird checked out if I where you and you right it stinks

TycosMom is right on.

 

That is not normal looking poo for a Grey or any other Parrot.

Does it mean that he has to go to a vets?... he is healthy, eating right... ONLY the poop in the morning is like that.. the rest is normal.. can i take a sample of the poop and they can check that instead?... can they run tests on that to find out the cause? i really don't want to take him to the vets, because it is really stressful on him...

One question, I just remebered that your Grey is around 16 to 17 weeks old.

 

Are you still feeding him formula? If so, Their poo is the color and form your picture indicates.

 

If you are still feeding formula, how much is he accepting at the last evening feeding before bed time?

he eats all of it... 30 ml.. he used to eat 40 ml.. but he doesnt anymore... he still is on his breakfast and dinner formula.. but does not get the lunch formula... he is on Exact formula.

and for tycosmom.. he did start eating some seeds in the middle.. but i quit giving him those.. because i had heard that they arent good. he likes him apples.. he likes cheerios too..... but he has his zupreme pellets as the main diet..

The poo's seem to indicate his last feeding in the evening is comprized completely of the Katee Exact formula nad not eating seeds, veggies or fruits afterwards. Is that correct? Thats what his poo seems to indicate.

 

It would still not hurt to atleast take the poo in for the v Avian vet to see, perhaps test and comment on. If they are not an avian vet, they may not know if it is normal or not just by looking at it.

yeah we don't have an avian vet clinic in greensboro. i am sure there are some vets who probably specialize in it.. but i am yet to find themm..

If he's stll on formula than he's probubly fine but I would tale a sample into the vet just in case and I'm very sorry if I scared you If he doesn't like to go to the vet just take a sample of his poop in its probubly fine
