murfchck Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 I know. At least Walmart is still selling normal bags. I accidentally got some once and fruit skins and old sprouts mixed with the scent stunk worse than just the trash! Awful!
Talon Posted November 26, 2014 Author Posted November 26, 2014 ***completely UNSAFE for my birds** How come it's unsafe? I believe that anything that is so powerful as to make my eyes water in fumes is bad for my birds. They don't need to breath in the fumes every time my trash cupboard is opened and closed
Brat Birds Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 I agree Talon. I won't use anything that has a strong odor. I get my trash bags at a dollar store.
Luvparrots Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 I use scented trash bags and regular ones. My parrots do not go in my garbage so I do not have a problem. I always close my garbage container anyway. My parrots stay high and never go on my tables or counters. Perhaps I should just consider myself lucky.
slayv4petz Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 (edited) Thanks for the heads up Talon, I'm super sensitive to certain smells, for me can trigger a migraine. I already deal with my allergies, don't need to add a migraine to the mix. Edited November 26, 2014 by slayv4petz
kins2321@yahoo.com Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 NO scented garbage bags! My kids lungs are very sensitive! If they cant handle it,,, Sophie surely can't. Nancy
