Partywhipple Posted February 4, 2002 Posted February 4, 2002 I have had my birds (TAG and BH Pionus) for a year now. They were vet checked when I got them. I am told that it is time for a check-up. What exactly does a vet do with a well-bird check-up... are there immunizations? May be a dumb question to experienced owners, but I am still learning. Thanks for any advice!
Tom__Green Posted February 4, 2002 Posted February 4, 2002 for tests, and possibly a poop sample. Not unlike what a human MD does. Immunizations shouldn`t be required unless there is a problem found.
UkuleleOVERSOUL Posted February 5, 2002 Posted February 5, 2002 You could get them vaccinated against polyoma virus. http://www.companionparrot.com/articles/polyoma.html
