Guest
Hi Everyone, I wondered if anyone has any tips on keeping my grey from a certain area in the room (on top of our visitor birds cage). We have tried to get him to step up and reward with a treat but he has now got smart to this and puts his head down and if we try to get him to step up he nips our hand. Not sure if anyone has any ideas? We tried using a portable perch and he steps up on it sometimes but only if he wants to. He is maybe just being stubborn but the visitor bird really doesnt like him being on top of his cage. We would prefer to keep them in the same room as they both like to be close to humans. Thanks Kirsty
SRSeedBurners
We use stuffed animals to keep our Grey away from certain areas. But this only works of the other birds are not scared of the trolls. Works in our case due to a Grey's natural paranoia whereas our Jardines and especially our Caique are not afraid of much.

Hiya, Thanks, we can give it a go and hope Kia (visiting bird) doesnt mind it on her cage. Riley is only 13 weeks old so he might be trying to push boundaries a bit maybe I think. Hope to iron it out soon as poor Kia is getting stressed with him. Cheers Kirst
Greywings
You can also cover the cage top with some cardboard so no toes get nipped.
Acappella
I agree with Greywings. Cover the cage top before Kia decides to defend her home and Riley ends up missing some toes.
