warm water

Hi People just wondering about warm water with skao my grey,she seems to like drinking warm water as when I let her play in the kitchen. I put clean warm water in glasses in the sink she likes to drink a lot out of them, then she likes to tip them all over,plus I am trying her train her to go in the shower as she dos not like to get wet but over time she is slowly allowing me to get her wet and now she well even sit on a perch in the shower close to the shower head and when I do she just starts to drink lots of the water and get her self a little wet as it runs down her a bit.but I am not sure if its a good idea to let her drink lots of it as it is warm and I don't know if warm water effects them differently.,she seems to be fine with it but after words she pees a lot of it out which I don't think is so bad as I feel it is just flushing her system out.

Any thoughts on this please.and thank you for the responses

I think the temp of the water your bird likes to drink is just an individual thing. Some like cold, some warm, mine likes everything at room temp. There are some medical conditions that cause a bird to drink more water than they need though, so you might need to have that checked out.

HRH really likes to have a few drops of iced cold tea or water. In general, her water dish of course is room temp. But if I'm drinking something with ice in the glass, she loves (this summer anyway) to slide her beak on the outside of the glass, then uses her tongue to pick up a few drops of the cold condensate. Then she begs for a few drops of whatever is in the glass, given to her off the tip of my finger. She also loves a teensy drop of warm coffee off my finger in the morning. (Yes, I do know about caffeine, etc, but it's a teeeeensy drop and it's fine ).
