Red Palm Oil

I have an unopened bottle that I had in the fridge. I took it with us when we went to visit friends and kept it out of the fridge for the day there and the day back. It's back in the fridge still unopened. Is it still ok?

It should be fine. It will be softer and more liquidy at room temperature and more solid when cold. It technically doesn't even need refrigeration, and keeps for a year or so unrefrigerated. I keep mine in the fridge to extend the shelf life.

I use red palm oil and never refrigerate it.

RPO doesn't need refrigeration until its opened. Some brands say to refrigerate after & others say it isn't necessary. I think it may have to do w/how it's processed.

I use Nutiva brand which is organic and doesn't destroy rainforest. Palm oil plantations are destroying miles and miles of rainforest. I think it is so high in antioxidants it preserves itself and doesn't need refrigeration.
