Eggs/eggshell

Quinoa is unusual in that it will sprout while it soaks. Which probably means I'm soaking too long. I usually soak 8hrs and *maybe* 8 hours rinsed, and I do it separately. Besides feeding the babies with it, I eat it in yogurt. It's good stuff.

I gave Alex some scrambled eggs last night when I decided to cook myself some for dinner (didn't add anything like salt or pepper until after i had scooped his out). I gave him about a tablespoon and he didn't leave his food bowl until they were gone. Any idea how much i should give him as a serving size?

Our avian vet suggested not to exceed 1 egg weekly or every 10 days, as Pookie is young and he is not overweight.

Vet suggested quarter to half an egg at a time.

We were also told egg once a week, but I usually don't give a whole egg. Used to be 1 egg between six birds, now 2 eggs between ten birds. I leave the shell on and cut wedges and just sit it on top of their breakfast or on the 'shelf' on the play stand if they are having breakfast in the play room. (They take turns). They also loved scrambled which I make in the skillet using coconut oil. I will have to try drizzling it with red palm oil. Last 'omelet' I made was with popped amaranth and they loved it.
