He flew without crash landing

Last night something startled Escher off his play stand he flew into the dinning room banked left over the bar flew through the kitchen banked left again flew over the island back into the living room and landed on the couch. We have an open concept apartment but it was quite a flight. I was so excited I kept telling how good he did, but when I picked him up he still did his usual grumble fuss in parrot speak. I had to laugh at him.
