Nala the Naughty

Nala is awesome and we are really enjoying her. She goes to work with me about two-three days per week, and is getting plenty of out of cage time. She is handled by four of us in our family and we are, in my opinion, doing a great job with socializing her through going to work with us. She interacts with humans of all ages.

Here is something I've noticed in the past few days....

Nala has been crabby. She is getting enough sleep. She is about 7 months. She is funny because she will try to deflect the step up command (when she doesn't want to) by bending her head and asking for scratches on her head instead of stepping up as requested.

She will also bite, then immediately bow head for scratches but when you scratch, she bites again!

It's not a "problem", but I wonder when does the baby-sweetness start to shift to something akin to toddler willfulness? Nala has always been a bit sassy....just in her personality.

I did start training her to step up on a wooden perch for those times when we may have someone staying here with her or for when she is being very stubborn and refusing to go in her cage when we need her to.

Anyway......experienced parronts........?
