I think he may have lost maybe 2 big feathers in the past two weeks, but I was just scratching him and a bunch of smaller feathers came out in my hand. Not in big clumps, but randomly. I noticed more on the floor when I was cleaning today- but no big feathers. It also looks like he has new red ones growing in. Is this typical of a molt? I have been waiting for it. As long as you don't find him playing with his big feathers or lots of big feathers on the floor..its ok..all greys shed a lot of small feathers and dander...
