Taking your Grey into the Shower?

My apologizes if this is posted under the wrong board. My first post

 

So here is my question. My 10 month old African Grey LOVES the shower. At first I would let him sit on the shower curtain rod but after some time he wanted to come into the water. Well I soon discovered that I didn't have a bird, that I have a fish! He LOVES the water and LOVES getting wet. So my question is, how often (if there is a too often) should he take a shower? He gets himself pretty wet and I don't know if this can be bad for him. Thanks ahead of time for any help!

How lucky you are to have a water grey. So many of them hate the water. Fortunately, my greys also love the water. As long as your grey has the time to get thoroughly dry, to the skin, I think he should get to bathe as much as he wants (on his terms). It is important that your grey gets dry before sleep time and is warm no chills. Do not blow dry your grey, it dries out the skin, which I believe is harmful to birds. Enjoy your water baby.

Some greys love to shower, Some greys love a bath and some greys don`t like either.

You are the lucky one as they need to bathe so enjoy.
